New to Inline Pilates in 2023......The Springboard!

Inline Pilates is proud to be the first Studio in Brisbane to offer Springboard setting a new standard in Pilates excellence.  

 

What is the Springboard?  Unlike the reformer, where you're using both limbs to move the machine as one, with the springboard each limb works independently which makes for an extra challenge on your balance. When using the Springboard you can really see which side of the body is stronger, and then work on your symmetry to even things out.  This gives your body a really versatile workout and challenges that stability in all types of positions and movements. We're able to easily adjust exercises for people who are injured more easily than on the reformer, by changing spring heights or using boxes to sit.  

 

Springboard classes allow your body to move in a completely different way. At Inline Pilates we work all your major muscle groups, and focussing on muscular endurance, spinal mobility and flexibility. They provide an amazing stretch and have great opportunities to challenge your balance. Small class sizes (max 5) guarantee effectiveness for toning, lengthening, and sculpting all the muscles, as well as creating superior core strength! Classes run for 50 minutes, with a maximum of 5 people in each class.  Enquire today!

Privates and Duos 

Inline Pilates offer Private and Duo classes for those with injuries who need special attention to detail in their practice, or those looking for some one-on-one strength training to assist in a healthy and fit body. 

 

These classes have specific exercises designed just for the you, with the knowledge to take you to the next level, whether it be out of pain, or pure enjoyment of freedom in your body movements.  You will be working on all Pilates equipment from The Reformer, Wunda chair, The Tower system, Springboard, plus all of the Pilates props.  Expert guidance and assistance from a professional teacher will help you to achieve your goals. Private and Duo classes run for 55 minutes. BYO Towel and water bottle

Pilates With Props - Mat Group Classes

Props are a great way to add variety and challenge to your body and allow you to explore new ways to go deeper into each exercise. These classes utilise TheraBand’s, rollers, hand weights, magic circles and balls to provide extra resistance. Low impact exercises are guided by a highly experienced teacher who will explain things clearly whilst keeping an eye on you in your practice.

 

This is a safe workout which can increase in intensity as your body conditioning improves. Pilates with props makes these classes fun by mixing it up each week.  These classes run for 45 minutes. BYO Towel and water bottle. Mats are provided but you are welcome to bring your own.

Looking at working out at home?  Try my Video workouts on line whenever you like.

Video workouts (on-demand) are a great addition to your Pilates experience.

 

Unlimited, pre-recorded videos are available for $25/month. Featuring many different workouts, focused on strengthening and toning your whole body, including;​

ABOUT CATHERINE

Owner and Instructor Catherine Parker is an internationally recognized and esteemed Pilates Instructor known for her passion, unique approach, and inspirational instructing style. Attention to detail, with the slightest change in an exercise will make you think and feel things you have never experienced anywhere else. 

 

Inline Pilates is a home-based boutique Pilates studio, situated in Manly West.

Originally opening in Melbourne in 2005, Catherine moved to Brisbane with her family to sort some warmer weather and a change of lifestyle.  Having been in Brisbane 5 years, it was time to double the size of the studio which will open again after the renovations in February 2023.  The studio is well equipped with The Tower, Reformer,  Wunda Chair, Mat, Spring boards,  Arc, Magic Circles, Thera-bands, spikey balls, weights plus lots more! Catherine holds a Diploma in Professional Pilates Instruction with Pilates International Training Centre (PITC), is a Certified Practitioner of Clinical Pilates Studio (Polestar International Training USA) and is also a full member of the Pilates Alliance Australasia. Level 3.

Catherine is very passionate about Pilates, keeping up to date with all of the latest research by attending workshops and conferences in and around Australia (and sometimes New York :)) Some of her favourite teachers and mentors throughout the years are Blossom Leilani-Crawford, Deborah Lessen, Brett Howard, Brent Anderson, Rael Isacowitz, Shelley Power, Cara Reeser, Sherri Betz, Sally Anderson and Lisa Jackson.
